 This piece of presentation silver was given at the launch of the U.S.S. Telfair, an Attack Transport ship, on August 30, 1944. The Telfair had a long and distinguished history through WWII and the Korean conflict. Janis L. Cauthorn sponsored the vessel, as documented in U.S. Naval records. The Gumps of San Francisco presentation tray measures 13 3/4" in diameter and is quite heavy. $495
