describing how he got the patch.

Dear sir:
I happened on your website about the USS Telfair the other day by accident and found it
very interesting. When I was about 10 years old my father (Col. USAF, Ret.) was stationed
in Tokyo from 1957-60 and while we lived there I collected various military and naval
patches.
One of which I came into possesion of and subsequently wore on the back of my jacket for
several years was of the Telfair. I never had any idea as to what type of ship this was
until seeing your website. As a matter of fact, I thought the name was Telfairapa as the
words on the patch are sort of run together. It never occured to me that the APA was the
ship type designation. Anyway, I thought you and/or your website visitors who had a
connection with the Telfair might find the attached picture of this patch of some
interest.
